LITERATURE

Here at AVFYWW we love AA approved literature. After all, that is where the solution to alcoholism can be found.

Below are links to just some of the AA literature that can be accessed free online.

Alcoholics Anonymous

The Big Book!

Probably the most important book you will ever read. Always good to have close by. It is with this book that you will work through the 12 steps with a sponsor. The solution to alcoholism is contained in these pages.

Also a must have if you are planning to join us on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday.

The 12 Traditions Checklist

12 Traditions checklist

This is a great little leaflet which poses questions about the traditions which will get you thinking.

Ideal for anyone who attends the AVFYWW Traditions for our future meeting on a Tuesday.

12 Traditions Illustrated

The illustrations really bring the traditions to life in an often humorous manner.

Another leaflet Ideal for anyone who attends the AVFYWW Traditions for our future meeting on a Tuesday.

AA Tradition

How It Developed

If you enjoy finding out why things are how they are then this leaflet will be right up your street.

It would also make a great addition to a Tuesday night traditions meeting literature collection.

It Happened to Alice and What Happened to Joe?

Ideal leaflets for anyone who has recently started coming along to AA. A great way to get some identification and some hope.

Newcomer Pack

A great selection of useful resources for a newcomer to AA.

Problems other than alcohol

This is a great resource for anyone who feels that there problems are not solely with alcohol.

Language of the Heart

Probably our second favourite book. This is a collection of Bill Wilson's writings which appeared in the Grapevine.

Come and join our Language of the Heart book study every Thursday at 6pm UK time.

The Jack Alexander article about AA

This article proved to be pivotal in the development of a fledgling Alcoholics Anonymous and really spread the word about the miracles that our remarkable program was playing a part in.

Bridging the Gap

This wonderful concept aims to help people coming out of treatment centres to find their way in to the rooms of AA.
